She Carries The World

A reflection for International Women's Day

There's a particular kind of strength that doesn't announce itself. It lives in the quiet act of holding things together, carrying worry so others don't have to, showing up before anyone asks. It's a strength passed down through generations of women, expressed in nurture, care, hard labour and fortitude.

International Women's Day is a moment to honour that perseverance. And one of the most powerful ways to do it is through something deceptively simple: stillness.

Taking a pause

Women have always been the holders — of families, of emotional weight, of other people's needs. We live in a culture that rewards doing: more output, more availability, more momentum. Stillness can feel like the opposite of progress, but it's actually the foundation of it.

There is something profound in choosing to stop, to sit with the weight that women have carried across centuries and gently acknowledge it, with understanding and compassion.

We welcome you to recognise the hard work put in by women in our lives - grandmothers, mothers, friends, partners, daughters and sisters.

An invitation

To mark International Women's Day, we've created a special edition guided meditation, made for women, by women. It's a journey through generational womanhood: the roots that hold us, the lives we're building now, and the future we're shaping for the women who come next.

Anyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to experience it. Because understanding the depth of women’s experience is a crucial part of building a better, fairer and brighter world for everyone.

This International Women's Day, we're honouring the strength it takes to stop, to find peace and rediscover joy in simply being who we are today.
